I am supporting earth hour.
I know, much can be done to help our earth breath thus allowing us, the human to breath.
I know, some can be skeptical over this effort, ahhh this is just another publicity stunt. We must start somewhere. This year, we do it once. Next year twice. Years to come, we will do it monthly. And an effort must start somewhere.
Perhaps this might not be your interest, and hoping only tall buildings sahaja yang akan join, but in reality, a small effort pun akan memberi result yang besar, kalau dilakukan secara kolektif. Be positive. Be an earth loving creature.
Kita tak nampak what global warming can do to us, to our children. I have seen banjir besar, ribut, tsunami and many more. It is in your hand. Do your bit. Switch off your lights this March 28, 2009 for an hour, from 8.30pm.
This one hour effort reminds me of Hari Nyepi in Bali, Indonesia, if there is a similarity to it. I was told that even Denpasar airport is closed for this holy day. It is a one-day ceremony.
Nyepi
On Nyepi day itself, every street is quiet - there are nobody doing their normal daily activities. There is usually Pecalangs (traditional Balinese security man) who controls and checks for street security. Pecalang wear a black uniform and a Udeng or Destar (a Balinese traditional "hat" that is usually used in ceremony). The Pecalangs main task is not only to control the security of the street but also to stop any activities that disturb Nyepi. No traffic is allowed, not only cars but also people, who have to stay in their own houses. Light is kept to a minimum or not at all, the radio or TV is turned down and, of course, no one works. Even love making, this ultimate activity of all leisure times, is not supposed to take place, nor even attempted. The whole day is simply filled with the barking of a few dogs, the shrill of insect and is a simple long quiet day in the calendar of this otherwise hectic island. On Nyepi the world expected to be clean and everything starts anew, with Man showing his symbolic control over himself and the "force" of the World, hence the mandatory religious control.

Think of the next generation. Both of us know very well, yg this is a publicity stunt but kita jgn peduli tu semua sebab we must make a stand, and effort. Aku sendiri kurang pakai beg plastik, dan itu sedikit usaha aku.
I respect ur stand, dun bother about earth, think about the generation to come. Yes, i know, kita cakap dan buat sejam sahaja and it wun make any different as long as developed countries not doin anything about kesan dari green house. Again, at least masa kita dah dikuburkan, kita tak kesal sebab not doing anything.

climatic cooling and warming have occured before. memang ada kumpulan yang tidak percaya global warming. sebab ada yang percaya bumi akan semakin sejuk (ice age), macam wayang the day after tomorrow. teori milankovitch.
apa pun dark hour dapat menjimatkan tenaga.

1 jam bergelap (sokong kununya) dan 8543 jam kita melopongkan ozon bumi. Wah, sungguh bagus. tp sejam tu pun bukan kita bt apa, tetapi kita melopongkan lagi. berpusu-pusu orang naik kereta, motor, dan segala macam kenderaan bermotor pergi KLCC nak tgk malaysia bergelap. apa bezanya? sejam tu banyak asap kereta keluar.
patut ada kempen duk rumah diam-diam sekali. aku sokong kurang 20 minit. hehehe
